The image of Rourke in his suit doesn't make me any more or less excited about Iron Man 2 but I guess I am sort of glad that it's not all about computer graphics. It's nice to see real costumes on real people in movies these days.
It's funny, I was actually thinking that the suit seemed unfinished, and was wondering if it is really just a framework for them to use when they are laying the CG over it in post-production. But I hear you on the over-use of CG in movies. Good old fashion physical hardware is refreshing in movies these days.
This may be his first attempt at a "suit". In other words - think back to Iron Man I and if you saw a still shot of Tony Stark's first suit - as in, when he is in the cave - wouldn't you be like, "wow - doesn't look very sophisticated". But perhaps later in the movie - Whiplash refines it...the same way Stark did. But I also do not know much about the character Whiplash so I am not sure if he even has the "smarts" to make an advanced suit.
I can't tell if I like it or hate it.
